Bought used Toyos, have a question on load range

Hi.

So my tires are bald, and needed a set soon. Saw a set on craigslist, bought 'em. They are 265/75R16 Toyo Open Country A/T. Bought 5 @ 50% tread for $30 total. Here's the question.....

So 4 of them are Range C, 1 is Range D....one of the Range C's is cupped really bad(will use as spare). Would it be bad if I run 3 Range C's and 1 Range D???

Any help would be much appreciated.

THANKS!!

Shane

It will be fine as long as the tires have the same height / circumference. Damn! You got a deal!

Well they are different weight tires(in #) and may handle slightly different
due to different sidewall thickness.. that all being said. It wouldnt be horrible.

i wouldn't sell you a set like that(at work that is), but for that price i would try it out. i would worry about noticing the diffrence in the stronger sidewall. i would put the D on the RR if it was me. if you can see if you can find another used C somewhere

Thank you everybody. It was weird becasue normally I look at the tires good before I buy for heck, cheap is good.

Yea that's what I was going to do, put the D on the right rear. Now....Time for a AWESOME burnout vid and pics with the old tires, then install the toyos.

If the sidewall is that much stiffer; you could let a couple of pounds out till it looked like the others. It really shouldn't cause a problem. I'd take them off your hands for what you paid for them if you weren't so far away. That's if they really bother you .

nah....don't bother me much...I can always run with my "non-burnout" tires on the front, and just replace the rears. The rear, espicially the right rear, is pretty close to being a slick.
