Switched back to my Duratracs for Winter

Had the truck serviced today and made the switch back to Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs for the winter months. A little louder than the Wrangler GS-A but I really like their winter performance, unfortuneatly there will not be much snow if any in Victoria this year.

Going to miss the snow for sure......

Looks good. I'm about to order up my 35" Duratracs and can't wait!

But man....I think you should spray the wheels with a color similar to Dark Shadow Gray. Would really set the ride off. Especially if they're considered "just" your winter wheels and tires.

I considered black soft 8s but found and awesome deal on a complete set of OEM Wheels with GS-A mounted including the TPMS sensors from another 11 Ranger which made things cost efficient.

Also with all the Aluminum on the back I like the looks.

As for the Duratracs I love them for sure........

I had Duratracs before and I can say that it is one of the best all around tires out there. Good traction on wet roads, in the mud and dirt; though never tried them in the snow.

They're not good in summer. Wear to fast.
And they suck in the rocks or in the bush since they have a weak sidewall.

Other than that, decent tires. Hardly the best all around though.

have you ever run them? because i have.. and they may have a softer then some compound.. but wear fast is not a statement I would use. i put probably 25-30k on mine and they still have at least half tread..

32k on mine, and have another 10k in them. With proper rotation and inflation they wear great. Especially for a more agressive AT

I put 100k on mine with no issues. And wheeled them quite hard too

yes i have run them, and my brother is currently running them. they wear fast in summer. the ones i had lasted less than a year. i do drive a lot though.

and i personally killed one sidewall, and my brother has killed two.

just relaying my personal experience with them is all.
