I was wondering what offset rims I will need to put 235/75/15s on my 88 ranger 2wd i do not have 15 inch rims currently and i dont want to pull the trigger on any before i know the tires will fit the rims and the rims will fit without poking out too far if at all
It shows you how far off your speedometer is, which is helpful. my 93 2wd took 255/60r15 tires mounted on 15x8 wheels with a -19mm offset. They stick out maybe a half inch but it actually looks good, see for yourself. no rub at full lock and the speedometer is actually spot on according to gps and radar.
Now I don't know the answer to your question but with this tire calculator you'll probably get close to it. I would say you'll want a slight negative offset though, or no offset. Don't go positive. So maybe a -6mm offset. I only did -19mm because I wanted a deep dish look and also because I went from a 6 inch wide wheel to an 8 inch wide wheel and didn't want to have the wheel sticking inward and rubbing on the suspension. More negative offset pushes the outer edges of the wheel/tire further away from vehicle centerline. Take note my truck has NO wheel spacers. Thats just how offset makes it look. You'll find broke boys trying to replicate this look by slapping a bunch of wheel spacers on OEM wheels, but it's not the same.
