Maximum wheel and tire size

Just bought a 1999 Ranger XL with a 7 foot box.Mint condition, low mileage, but needs tires. Looking for used but 14" are rare around here.Want to know if I can safely go up to 15" rims and what max tire size. Single cab, 4x2. Any help, much appreciated

Yeah, you can swap up to 15" rims. Some rangers even come with 16"s. I believe 31s are the biggest tire you can get without mods. I recommend sticking with the factory tire size for 15"s unless you plan on regearing in the future.

Note that your speedo may be inaccurate due to the wheel and tire change. Best test it with a GPS after your swap.
