Which mud terrain?
So I've made the decision to drop down from 16 to 15 and to go from A/T's to M/T's. I have driven with DumpedMK3 and he is running km2's. They have alot of sidewall flex that would worry me since I'm top heavy. Plus they vibrate like crazy coming off the line.
I like my A/T's for their smooth ride and great tread wear but their just not that agressive looking IMO.
So my question is, what M/T will have the best on road handling(as it will stay on the pavement most of the time) and have decent tread wear.
The tires I'm looking at are as follows....
Mickey Thompson MTZ's
BFG KM2's
Toyo OpenCountry M/T's

yeah, i agree with brian.. I hate to say it, but for what you waht, you may just want to go with a cooper st or stt.. Have you thought about getting a more aggressive AT? the ST is technically an AT, but its pretty aggressive.

Not exactly true. I have the new Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar and they have a very aggressive look and have a smoothe ride. They are very quiet on the road, amazing off road and handle awsome on wet roads.

Let me say something from first hand experience! If you plan on airing down, do NOT get KM2s.. I wont unless i have bead locks.
My buddy has them on his TJ and the sidewalls like to roll in a TON on side hills (at 10 psi), he's had dirt and crap jammed between the bead and had to scrape it out with a screw driver etc.. Our trucks are by far heavier than his little TJ. He loved his MTZs but got a real good deal on the bfgs, he said he was able to air the MTZs down to 6psi and never had an issue.
If you never air down, and just want a tire that rides good, works pretty good on flat ground and looks pretty, go ahead and get the KM2s
now onto the new MT/Rs.. i still think they look like poo. I saw 3 or 4 guys at Katemcy with them on their buggies and loved them but they were also running 40s+ on the flip side, even an all terrain would hook up real good out there, i ran my tires at 25psi and only slipped them a few times.
