Welcome to the site...

About the BL... i saw somewhere on the site that someone had a 4inch BL... that maybe an option?

As for the height, i maxed out the t-bars and put Chevy Z71 springs in the rear. You may wanna check out the helper spring and/or bigger blocks.

sounds like your gonna have a pretty sweet truck

a 3 inch body lift IS NOT ENOUGH to clear 35s ....

I ran 33s stock too ... big whopp ... 35s will not fit with JUST a 3 inch body lift.

Ranger1 ... as i have posted earlier in this thread has an add a leaf in the rear and he has maxed out his torsion bars. Those are what make him "clear" them in REGULAR driving conditions. Say he hits a pot hole, or a good enough bump, or goes wheeling he is going to get quiet a bit of rubbing.

I dont mean to be an *** but come on people read the DETAILs when looking at others trucks before flying off and telling newbies yeah things will fit with no problem look at this guys truck when in fact it wont fit without some other mods.

besides that isnt even his question or his plan.... his plan is for a 3 inch body lift an 33s. no one asked about 35s.

Good luck on your sons truck... you are an awesome dad! Your son is a very lucky kid. congrats on the ranger it will look awesome when you are done with it. Get us some pics! WE all love pics!!

Thats not totally true zach. It is possible to put the while on any 3.0 motor no matter the year. You just have to change a few things. As long as your willing to do that there is no problem. Remember Doug's truck had an 01 motor in it and he just had to adjust it a little and all was good. However it is true that its much better to put on a 02+, but its still possible for older models.

You just need to soak the bolts, we had one break off and also one we had to drill out, other then that there are no major concerns to do one. Its pretty easy actually.

OK Guys,
Got the PA lift and we are going to install it starting Wed. He's all jacked about it. Now comes the wheels and tires. Called M/T and the Cepek DC-1 wheels have beadlock rings comming in Jan. So this is the wheel. Him and I are at odds on tires, He wants M/T Baja Claw Rad. I have told him with an 90% DD that tire is to aggressive. I like the Cepek F-C II for on and off road. What do you guys think.

I've got a friend with a 99 Ram running 33x11.5 DCII tires. Hes probably put on 15k so far (DD+Alot of Dirt) and they still look great! I was going to put these on my truck also, but decided to go with Goodyear MT/Rs instead.

Cant wait to see pics~

I find my Cooper S/T to be a good blend between an all terrain and a mud tire. I highly recommend them.

Got the Lift kit installed! Only lost one cab bolt on the drvers side
and had to get one from Ford for $17.00. This was not to bad
2 1/2 days working from 10am to 7pm. Looks good and now the 31's
on the truck look small. Now he can get his tires for Christmas. Thanks
for the input on tires. I think It's going to be the Cepeck DC-1 rims with
Baja Claw radials.

Well, found a site SPORTZTRAILERS.com that had a prettygood deal on some wheels and tires. Dick Cepek said 6weeks or more on the rims that we were looking at and the boy wanted new shoes for Christmas. SO we ended up with procomp 1079's 15x10's wheels and the procomp xterrain 33x12.5x15's and got wheels, tires, mount & balanced, with free shipping for $1000.00
seemed like a deal to me. But his Mom won't let him put them on until after Christmas. Ha Ha!
