my rims are getting rust on them

They are steel. so its a given. Ive used the eagle one stuff in the aluminum can and it works, but takes forever. would the powerball work on them? what product to put on the powerball? and finally, any way to keep them from getting rusty?

BRENSRANGER May 29, 2007 01:58 PM

yea it will work, used it on my stock wheels

Redneckstone May 29, 2007 01:59 PM

once they get rusty its a lossing lossing battle. best way move up to alum wheels or dismount and take them to a powder coated should run you right around $50 a wheel to get a nicer powder coat on it

BRENSRANGER May 29, 2007 02:04 PM

that is why i have black rims...lol

i would have them powder coated. but i practically just bought them. they are chrome and black. would it even be possible to keep them that way? these rims

BRENSRANGER May 29, 2007 02:20 PM

those are one of the worst rims in the sense of keeping decent out there. the powder coat is THIN heck I think its just painted no powder coat.. the chrome is crap...

texasbullseye89 May 29, 2007 05:28 PM

so how am i supposed to fix it zach? i see that they suck. lol. just polish them with a powerball all the time? no permanent fix for a small price?

yeah but for $50 you can just buy a new wheel

texasbullseye89 May 30, 2007 11:36 AM

yeah. but then that one would rust too. guess im stuck with rust. poop.

Power ball sucks! I have one, and I'd give it to you if it was fun to throw around the garage. biggest waste of money ever. Eastwood sells better polishing equipment for about the same amount of money.
