What about a set of BFG All Terrains? They are excellent on and off-road. They are quiet on pavement and have very little wear down. They are great when aired down for sand, and very good in the snow (they are snow rated). Not sure how the winters are down in Illinois.
They perform as well as they look. AWESOME!! |

I have BFG AT's on my 94. They came with it i'm guessing they have around 30k on them. They ride great, though they tend to leave a little out there on a wet road. Off road I can't complain about them. They handel about as well or better than you can expect from and A/T. They are probly one of the best wearing tire out there, I will def. give them that.
Can't say much about Mikey's Coppers I've never been a fan of their tires. |

They're just 31s, so they fit right on. I went down from a 16" rim with 255/70/16s that were about 30" overall to 15s with the 31s. They're great tires on the highway, nice and smooth and not that loud. Most of my driving is 60-75mph anyways. They're fantastic in the snow and offroad too, as you obviously saw. Great all around tire and reviews and stuff I've read online have nothing but praise for them. :biggthump |
