id go 285 they should clear but might rub when you flex. I would only do this if your getting the lift soon.

I've seen 33s on a cranked truck.....I'm going to run 32x11.50x15s......basically max for you on a 16" rim is 265/75R16 for guarenteed no rub, or 285/75R16 will fit. I've seen it...I've wheeled it.

Lift it first then go to a larger size tire and maybe even new wheels. Dont buy the tires now and regret they are too small.

I'd say maybe 10,000 miles before you need new CV's...

I think these were 285/85r16s on this ranger I saw at a job site. Maybe 255/85r16s??? I don't quite remember. But I know they wern't 265/75 or 285/75. Tall and skinnys.

33x12.5x15 on 15x8" wheels, stock height, nearly maxed t-bars, trimmed fenders. Still rubbed on u-turns/3 point turns and while wheeling.

Same tires and wheels with 4" superlift. No rubbing anywhere at any time. Had my rear driver's tire about 2 ft. in the air once flexing and wasn't rubbing.

If you are gonna throw on a lift soon then you could get away with 285s, but if you're going to keep it stock suspension then 275s. I'm running 275/70R16s and they are great, fill up the wheel well and give me plenty of flexing room.

What I did, bought new rims and tires (that way later I can just buy tires and they'll fit). 33x12.50x15 WILL fit with torsion bars just shy of maxed. You only have to trim the inside of the flare and I could never get mine to rub after I trimmed. Here's where you have to trim and why.

After I rode around like that I ended up getting spindles and AAL. I plan on doing a body lift sometime this summer because I don't think double-lifted rangers look bad on 33's. I will get 35's though when these wear out just because they're bigger. It's all up to you and what you think looks good though, but 33's or whatever metric size equivalent will fit.

Dont forget tho, that while rangers and every other vehical on the road is a cookie cutter design, what works on one truck may not work on another of the same year/trim. every vehical is different. So, do be surprised if people on here say 'it wont rub' and then it rubs a little bit, Hell, my 245/75/16's - STOCK tires RUB on the passenger side splash gaurd. they have rubbed since the truck was new.
