Got some new tires for the truck, I was on a budget and these popped up at Canadian Tire for 158.24$ ea. They are LT265/75R16 Motomaster Total Terrain A/T. They surprisingly have a good thread pattern and nice grip. It's always better then the crap RT/S' I have lol

 

Very similar tread pattern to the Bridgestone Dueler Revo's, which are supposed to be a good tire. But then again, anything's better than RT/s'.

 

those RT s's arent that bad! haha i had those stock on my truck and wheeled the **** outta them. they held great for what they were. gave me pretty good traction lol

 

What are you waiting for? Get 'em mounted!

 

I'm still unsure if I want to use the RT's to the max first or try to sell them...

 

Most sets I've seen are low on tread, or bald by 20k. I drove an 06 with 21k miles on stock RT/S for a while. You couldn't use first gear in the rain, and it usually spun in second. Had to use 4 hi to get started more times than I liked. I hate these tires with a passion.

 

Weird, my sister's lasted more than 50,000 miles. But they really were awful in the rain.

 

We have 2 Rangers at work now, both wrecked with under 35k miles, and both sporting bald RT/S. Hmmm... wonder why they wrecked?

Those look like Revo knock offs. Same tire cheaper price. Should be solid tires.

the RT/S get me everywhere too, just like ty said and i dont know where you saw a set wear out at 20k.. a guy i work with just ran his to 120,000kms..... mine have 35k on them and look brand new.

Goodluck with those motomasters...now those you might actually get only 20k if the tread itself doesnt fall off the belts first

 

I'm at 35km with the RT's and they still have alot of thread, just suck in rain and mud.

Well if the Motos only last 20k, I get a full warranty :)

It's going to look so much better with those bigger meats on there. If you plan on wheeling it hard, invest in some traction bars from James Duff. Its going to prevent them from rubbing your wheel wells at full stuff. I have a couple of good dents there because of my 265's.

 

I agree the RT/S do suck in the rain... otherwise a great tire. you can always get them siped for about $12 a tire to fix that problem. Good luck with the motomasters, post up some pics when you get them mounted!

Never heard of thread pattern...

 

My RT/S lasted a good 60k miles...but I never wheeled with them. Reason I got rid of them was the alignment (or lack thereof) killed the front two over a year...had they aligned it right after the frame got straightened, I'd still have them.

But they weren't the stock RT/s. We got the recommended replacements at Discount Tire like 2-3 weeks after getting my truck. When I bought my truck, I had two different kinds of Wranglers lol.

i was accelerating up a fairly steep hill and i stepped into it to kick it up to 3000 rpms and before i knew it the back end came flyin out into a massive fishtail at 90km... scary..

anyways cant wait to see those meats mounted.. a 265/75 is roughly a 32x10.5, no??

The tires look good on the truck. I would have went with the whitewalls in.

I like the white walls out. It kinda ties it into the rest of the truck.

I don't mind it with the white out, but i wanted them in at first, they screwed up and dont feel like switching them
