so the 4 inch back spacing just makes it stick out a little farther right?

the lower the backspacing, the more it will stick out

8" wheel with 4" backspace = 4" of wheel inside the mounting surface and 4" outside of mounting surface.

You've got flares.....it'll put the tire right at the flare.
