bigger meats

looking to upgrade my tires from stock 255/70/16 on my 08 sport ext cab. prekey mod with probably a mild crank up front. will a 265/75/16 fit my 16x7 rims? is 285/75/16 too big for these rims and wheel wells? im looking hard at the bfg at's. anyone have these on stock rims? or recommend another brand youve had experience with? thanks

265/75R16 will be a great fit for the wheels, and the wheel wells. 285s will look stuffed, be heavier and be more likely to rub.
I don't know if you can get a 265 in a C load rating but that is what I would look for, E rating is going to ride like ***.

The 265's will fit nicely. I am running 285's and they do look kind of stuffed but that's the look I was going for so I'm happy. My tires are D load rating and they don't ride too bad.

found a few. this is probably the best of the bunch. 45 lbs. my stock are 37 lbs so probably not a huge performance loss. the bfg at's e rating are 54 lbs, any opinions on these?Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac

Perfect Fit!!

I just put a set of 265/75/16 on my 01 ranger and they look freaking awesome!! The tire I have is an E range tire and it rides just fine, do have more road noise than before but its only really noticable at 30mph and below. Also the tires I have are TOYO open country. My dad has had the same tires on his truck the last two sets and absolutley loves them!!

They ride great. A little road noise they do ride very smooth on the highway. They vibrate a little at around 80s but under that they are good. I would buy them again any day.

Here's My 08 Sport with 265/75/16 with pre-key torsion crank in the front and belltech shackle added in the rear. Tires fit with lots of room and look much better than stock.
