Load range on tires
Well i did a 3 inch body lift and now it time for tires and rims. I think I've read all the tire threads, but still a little confused. I have stocks steel rims, 16X7, and BFG's long trails, 245/75/16 E. I want to get soft 8's,but not sure if I should 15X8 or 15X10. I all so am trying to figure out if I should get 33X10.5 or 33X12.5 rims. I want to get a softer ride and I have read that I can go down to a load range D and even a C tire on a 15'' rims and a taller tire.
So my questions are, 1) How much softer ride can I get with going down a D or a C range 33'' tire? 2) How much of a mileage drop am i go to lose go to a 33X 10.5 or 12.5 tire? Right now i get 14-16 city, and 20-22 on the highway.
Thanks for you help .
