Icon6 Any Michelin owners in here?

Looking for tires this weekend; no major off-roading, mosly city & hwy. I'm riding on the original Wrangler R/Ts (235/75R15), considering the Michelin LTX MS2; Sears has a good price plus $70 rebate plus 10% off on Sunday.

Great tires! I had 90K miles on my first set (LTX M/S) and the tread was still above the wear bars:

I have Michelin x radial lt tires on mine, I'm happy with them, they ride good and got me through last winter pretty well, so far the wear has been excellent, better than other tires I have had in the past.

I had michelin ltx a/t's on my truck up till a couple weeks ago. They were pretty awesome tires. Tread wore really good too. They had about 75,000 miles on them and they still had plenty of life in them. Michelin knows how to make good tires.

If i was going to get any Michelin tire, I'd get the Michelin LTX A/T2. It has a more aggressive tread pattern:

I got a set of Michelin Latitudes (street tires) for our MKX last fall and they have been great. Super quiet and handle well. They had the $70 rebate thing going on then also. I got mine from TireRack.com, IMO thats about the best place and way to get tires. I was out of town so we had Tirerack ship them to a tire store down the street (one of their participating dealers I guess, it was a Goodyear store) and even paid for the installation costs through Tirerack. They called when they came in, wife drove it over, they put them on, and all was said and done...easy. The Continentals that came stock on the MKX were crap at only 32K miles. Noisy and almost worn out and she even drives like a grandma.

I have 31" Michelin LTX M/S tires on my Ranger that I use on the road. They have a slightly more aggressive tread than the later MS2 version but still not suitable for off-road in my opinion. They do make great street tires with great longevity and seemed to improve my gas mileage slightly compared to BFG ATs. Traction on the road is great in all conditions I have been through which does not include snow.

I have about 50,000 miles on them now and they have well more than half the tread remaining. I would buy them again but they are NLA. I like a more aggressive tread than the MS2 but if you like the tread, go for it.

Exactly why I don't really care about tread life. I know two people with the AT 2's. They love them, 1 is a plow truck and they both live out in the county with high drifts and subpar conditions.

If your tires spin AT ALL they WILL wear down very fast. But if you drive decently then you should be okay.
PS< Old Profile pic has 31" Ltx's and they didn't even last me 20k miles :(
