To lower or not?

Hey guys,

I have 2011 Ranger sport extended cab 4x2. I will be getting some 18" Ford GT 500 rims soon. Just wondering if I should lower the truck or not? If yes how should I do it & how much? I am not looking for a slammed look but a 2/3 inch drop with the DJM kit sounds interesting.

Let me hear some opinions and show me some pics.

Thanks,

Rob.

Yes drop it a little bit. You will love the handling and the way it looks. I did a 2/3'' DJM drop here is a pic.

it would be t-bars, so just flip your keys and leave the adjuster bolts out, then pull the rear block and flip the rear hanger and you've got yourself a 2/2 drop roughly for free less the cost of new grade 8 hardware for the rear!

Wouldn't that be a sh!tty ride? No adjuster keys,I mean? At least the guy has the newer keys. Thats a plus. I am not a fan of lowered trucks but there are some that can look good. Slammed is too much IMO. The right stance can make or break a truck. Maybe not take out the keys but at least de-crank em so you can get a feel on how low you wanna be.
There is a guy on here named Casper who lowered his 08+ truck. Looks ****! Search for his name and either send a PM or hope he sees this thread.

I looked under my truck the other day and I have the torsion bar setup in the front. How can lower it and not make the ride any worse? I only want a 2 inch drop in the front and 3 inch drop in the back.

Thanks,

Rob.
