now thats sexy. my friend with a jeep did it to his wheels. looks awesome. its something that i wanna do too. what he did was, bought engine paint ( idk what the official name is) and sprayed it with that. and looks awesome. i was about to do it the same day, but my front tires have a lot of grease on them, and i dont know how to get that grease off.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of paint did you use and did you do any kind of prep before you painted them?

i used rustoleum wheel paint. its "flat black". but the fronts are now looking like flat black because of brake dust haha

i just sanded em down real good. primer wouldnt hurt though. we'll see how they hold up. i might end up redoing them better.

i talked to a guy that works at a body shop, and he said not to sand it down. cause it would mess with the wheel balance.... is this true?

2006 Ford Ranger Upgrade

I Plasti-dipped my rims for now, then i'll replace them with black matte solid rims later. They look great. It's a good idea to start with filmed paint first to see what your truck would look like with black rims. You have to prep your rims good first. No short cut's or it won't stick hard
