pro comp mt/truxus mt

Well i just orderd my tires form 4-wheel parts and they didnt have the truxus. they are on backorder. So i ended up buyin the pro comp mt and wondering id anyone had them and how they are. I got the 33-12.50-15 i got 285-75-16 right now i looked at the tire specs and the 285 is 32.8 inches and on pro comp it says 32.5 now is these tires going to be smaller than i have? i measured my tires the form tread to tread and it was only 31 inches???

balancing a interco tire sometimes pointless. can take 10-15 oz. easy.

I ran both...

I first had the 33x12.5 pro comp mt's on my jeep TJ and they seemed fine...I switched to the traxxas and thought they were decent too. The pro comps were better in the rain but I'd say both were equal in the mud...The pro comps wore much better and were MUCH easier to balance. The traxxas were a real pain to balance.

well i think the 285/75/16 is just a little smaller than a 33 i think its actually size is 32.8

but you can never tell anyway some tires are just bigger than others even when they claim to be a size

33s are not really 33s most of the tim anyways. as are most sizes. they just "round" numbers.

see now i have the trexus M/ts and i love them... yes it was a HECK of a job to try and balance the tires and they wear down really quickly lol... but i still like the look of the tire... and brand new out the box they were 34.15 inchs, and that was the 33x12.5.. but i still like the Pro Comps personally its a toss up but eather way you wouldnt have been disapointed

if your going to switch to a 16" rim why not get a 305/70/16 taller then a 33 but smaller then a 35.
