Problems down the road?

I have a 2008 ford ranger 4x4 and I was going to get 35s with a 3 in body lift and 4 in suspension lift, but I was just wondering if I would experience any other problems with the stock parts that would cost me more money down the road because of the tire size? Because a friend told me that the stock tire rods and axles wouldnt be able to withstand the weight of the new tires

Welcome to the site.
Where bout in Pittsburgh you at?

To answer you questions. I think the biggest thing you will have to worry about is ballpoints with the bigger tires and I would imagine wider wheels. CV axles shouldnt be that big of a problem if you are keeping the angles down. Tie rods Im on my second set of inners and outers. changed them at about 75k. Im now at 130k.

Ross township/ north hills area- but yeah I think I'm going to try to get that done this summer I'm just trying to find someone to put on the suspension lift for me for cheaper than professionally done. I'm just happy tht the stock parts should hold up and not scare me away from doing it
