Do I have this right?

Do I have this right?
I have an 04 4x4 Ranger with factory 16" x 7" aluminum wheels with brand new 265/75/16's on them that I'd like to keep. I was looking at maybe getting some Pro Comp wheels and I see they have a 16" x 8" with a 4" back spacing. If the factory wheels are a 4.5" back spacing does that mean the Pro Comps would stick out 1.5" more than my factory wheels? I'm new to this and want to make sure what I get is right. Thanks

Ok, thanks.
Next question. Since the front axle is wider than the rear do most people get different rims to make everything even? Or am I the only guy that is bugged by this? I think with my 06 fender flares on there 1.5 wider would look good on the rear and have the tire even with the flare, but on the front I bet the tire would stick out of the flare about .75" or more. Maybe that would look alright but I'd hate to have it look like crap after I spend money on wheels.
