Quick question about Dry Rot

I've had a set of tires I just put on. They were on my brother's old truck he totaled. The outside lugs (MTs) are dry rotted a little bit on 2 of the tires, other than that they are like brand new. What are the dangers/ effects of running these tires til I can afford new ones? Thanks

Pics would help... they can be dry rotted really bad, to where i would be afraid to put air in them... or they could just be normal wear on the tires...

They are on already. Its just the tips of the outside lugs, I'll try to get pics, they've been sitting on rims while they've been sitting up (about 1.5 yeasrs) and have not lost any pressure. I've had them on my truck for about a month with no problems, but I want to know what to expect.
