replacing acorn lugnuts or lug nuts with torn caps
If any of you have the acorn style lugnuts with the metal cap on the top, and accidentally torn off that metal cap when trying to take off a wheel, know that you can take out the remainder of the lugnut using an 18mm deep socket.
I was putting on some other wheels and ended up replacing 10 of the stock lugnuts because the metal caps were bent or torn off. They may look good, but can be a pain in the ***.
If you have the metal cap on there, I found that a 19mm lug wrench will fit (although it's not a snug fit, and it might wobble a little bit).

ya, the stock covered ones suck.
i took a screwdriver and chiseled them off.
then i went to turneys and got 20 new ones for $.99 a piece. they are exactly 18mm and a lot easier to get off and on without the wobble
