Rim decisions (Final one I think)

haha well I have made a few threads about rims. This will be my final one I think. Lets say you had a choice of any rim that'd fit. What would you choose? I'm not lowering it or lifting it (Yet .....) But I am tired of the teardrops and plus the clear coat is peeling off a few of the rims. I looked at American racing Baja rims when i searched ebay for alcoa's, The I got to talking to Scott and he was telling me about the Mickey Thompson Classics, THEN I saw th DC-2's and I cannot decide!

Help me out, you can suggest any rim!

I would go with the DC's you probably can get the DC-1 cheaper than the DC-2"s

amen to this but me personally Id either choose the dick cepeks or Mickey T's. I like both and I am still deciding on both. One thing with your color truck Id go with a chrome or polished type wheel instead of a black rim. Some black themes look good on certain truck but on yours polished would be my choice.

for your truck, i'd get MT Classics. DC-1s have a factory flaw of where the bolts that go around the perimeter will crack the clear coat unless you put an o-ring around it. Of course the DC-2s dont have the bolts but will cost more probably because they are new. I think polished on DSG is nice! But when you do, it wont look right unless you get some new rubber too! Those tire will look nasty on new wheels

The DC-2's are brushed aluminum where the DC-1's are polished.... polished would look better. But, if the DC-1's have some kind of factory flaw like Scott says, then I'd go with the Mickey Thompson's... those are sweet rims anyway. I agree with Scott too, new tires too. Maybe 31x10.5 BFG AT's?

where the bolt is up against the clear coat, it caues it to crack and peel.

Yeah I thought about that, the tires would look bad on new rims, especially since the teardrops are 16x7? and I want a 16x8

If you're looking for a nice chrome wheel that's simple and easy to clean you might consider the MB Gunner 5.

if you get DC's don't get the black ones, get the non painted ones. they look so much better then those murdered out ones.

however, i like the MT classics for that reason. classic man....
