Rim size for 245/70/16

Guys,

I've done some searches but it seems the question is usually asked the other way around. I've got a 2001 4 door 4x4 that came stock with the 16" wheel package. When I bought the truck it had 245/70/16 on the truck and I have to say I like the truck to tire proportions so I'm not really looking to go any bigger. My question is I'm considering going to a black steel rim like the cragers or US wheel (any one have weights on those two) in a 16". With the 245's what size rim would you go for 16x7 or 16x8? Thanks!

JR

16x7...

personal opinion... if these tires are toast, dont get 16".... get some 15x8 and some 32x11.5x15 you will be happier. and its cheaper over all

if the tires are fine and you must think of switching becuase the tires are small you need 16x7 which is the same size as your stock wheels so its pointless...

you could run 16x8 its a little on the large size for those tires...

Thanks. The tires are new (about 3 months to be exact). I had thought about going to a 15 but decided I like the look of a 16 better.
