Searching for the right mud tire...

Hey guys, i realized that mud tires would last me alot longer than i thought because i will just be driving to school which is 5 minutes away, otherwise, i will be offroad. So i would like a mud tire with a hard compound. what should i look at?

Toyo open country M/T, but they probably don't come in your size.
A lot of people are saying they get good wear from the MFG KM2's, but I haven't had mine long enough to comment. I do LOVE the tires though. Very sticky and smooth and quiet for an M/T. 8-9k miles and not much wear, just a little rounding of the edges.

x2 on the KM2s, they look great, have heard good things about them and are relatively cheap.

Cooper Discoverer STT's do everything well. They're nice and smooth on the highway, they're great in the wet, fantastic in the snow and amazing in dirt and in the mud.
