that is what he was trying to say. its unsafe as the tire needs to flex a little and a 10" wide tire on a 10" wide rim runs the chance of blowing a bead. dont even think about airing down for any offroading.
if your set on that much poke, just get 15 or 16x 8 with proper backspacing and get some wheel spacers. either way, you are going to cause excessive wear on all front end components such as ball joints, tie rod ends, CVs, etc....

Exactly, and the beads are designed by the manufacturers to seat on a rim within a given range of angles. Going past that with a rim too wide or narrow can damage them through daily driving alone.

I'm acing my stock 16x7J wheels,,,,1998 4x4 w/factory flares, so the 31 10.5 15's would be perfect! Thanks! Don
