should i get tsl's
 

a guy i work with has a chevy 1500 extended with 32x10.50 super swamper tsl radials 1 month old paided like 560 put on friday night some old lady ran stop sign and he hit her pretty much totaled truck just waiting on adjuster but frame is bent and cracked in two places wants to sell tires one has gashes in it but possibly could get for like 400 $ how would they look on a 2wd ranger.. also would i need a lift or would they fit on the stock 15x7 rim ?:slaphappy

They would fit on the stock rims.

Not unless you are actually going to be taking them off road, the tread won't last long and it's a noisey/bumpy ride.

I would see how deep the gash is also like Trucks Get Dirty said they will be real loud but it all depends on the look you want

They look good, they are loud, and they are great offroad...what more could one want? haha

yeah exactly well i actually did see the gash its not to bad but uhh i dont think id chance it blow outs arent any fun yeah prob wouldnt be a good idea since i wouldnt go offroad to much not many places to go around here other than like a field which most big trucks get stuck in or a mudhole called duhons which i have 3 friends who have burnt motors there 2 rangers and a full size chevy ill think bout it once he finds out what the insurance is gonna do =) loud is always good:biggthump

we have more swampers come back in the shop due to not staying balanced at all...jus a thought

or bfg mt's work great. or any version of the mt, or MTR or baja claw...I have ran bfg at's and I think they are absolutely horrible. They are ok on the street, but the MT's are just as good on the street and offroad ok. The at's suck offroad...might as well run a slick.

My swamper TSL's lasted me 3 months :(

they are radials...you will be fine get them. now.

My knobbies ripped off on the freeway after 3 months lol...

i had my tsl radials for 6 months.. showed little wear when i sold them.. and they kicked ass in the mud

yep im still wanting to buy them hes waiting got the ladys insurance adjuster to go look at the truck then we gonna make a decision haha me and him both hope they total it cause i want tires and he dont want a reconstructed frame the front of it is bent and cracked in one place that we can see visually without moving anything

get bfg at's if you wanna get stuck. get the tsls if you dont want to get stuck. IF you dont drive like an idiot they will last

if you want the best of both worlds....pick up a set of Ground Hawgs, they do well offroad (if ur not a point and hammer it kind of guy) and they wear like iron, not uncommon to get 60k miles outta a set of hawgs

I agree with everyone, Stay away from BFG At's.... They are horrible in the mud! They don't clean...TSL Radials are very good tires, and IMO they wear very well if you keep the rotated and balanced properly... I put a little over 50,000 miles on my last set. And the radials are not all that loud on the street.

I'm sorry (not trying to be rude) but whats the point in putting a big knoby dig to china mud terrain tire good for on a 2WD other than looks???

If you do end up buying them also buy a GOOD long tow strap.

You are right, what is the point other than looks.. But I know from my personal experince with this truck (my first 2wd) that with my 38" boggers, I have gotten through some pretty good ****...And Yes I do carry a good lenght tow strap and have even gone to the extent of welding on my own tow brackets. If you drive right with the tires and now your limits then the tires will do just fine on a 2wd..
