Tall Skinny Tires

Need some input. Thinking about putting some tall skinny tires on my ranger with a 3in bl. Whats the tallest I could go 33?32? and would these be easier to turn over on the motor rather than wider ones because I dont want to re gear just yet.

go 32 without a regear. you could get 33/10.5, a tall and skinny tire.

i have a 3in bl and the 32x11.50's i have fit great.. wider tires are hard on hubs and such . i think with skinnier tires then i have 33 would fit fine

it depends on what gears you have already, the kind of driving you do, and what engine you have. I have a 3" body lift and am only running 31's because my old tired 3.0L has a hard time turning them with 3.73's. But 33's will fit with a body lift.

Go with a 33x10.5. With a bodylift they should fit perfect. If not crank the TT's and add a AAL or set of Beltechs.

Height of a 33, width/contact patch of a 31, and weight in-between both. IMHO best of both worlds, you get the clearance but not the drag of a wider tire.

Yep and with a 2.5 you should probably regear if your going to run 33's

Yea i figured I'd have to regear I wanted to swap the back axle with a 4.0 with 4.10's but mines a 99 manual so it would match up. Is it the tire height thats forcing me to regear becuase i figured with it being a 10.5 it be easier to pull

yes the hight has more of an effect on it than the width. Hight is what put more strain on the drive train. with the width your just adding weight as resistance.
