Thoughts on Eagle Alloys...

Well, I'm in need of new tires/rims soon. Just wanted everyone's thoughts on these two rims. They have the fake beadlock and I'm not sure which to go with, the black rim/polished beadlock, or vice versa.

The rim I kinda want w/probably 285/75/16's

or this one, similar, but who knows...

so what do you guys think?

see, i'm not sure, cause I like the brightness of the current wheels, so I'm kinda not liking the dark color of the black rim. How about tire suggestions? I know joe (rideac1) has 31's which are BFG ATs, which aren't bad. But i'm looking for a nice road tire also, but with some grip... Again, I'd like 32s or 33s.

Just paint your stock wheels with Krylon Fusion, that should last for at least 2 days. Get 2 of each wheel, have a different set on each side, that'd be nuts, cause they both look sweet.

As for tires, get 205/60/15's, best gas mileage possible.

Now for real, I think the black wheels. The black ring won't stand out much when touching the tire. The black wheel however goes with all of the black on na truck, and the polished ring will match the detail of the bumpers and look ruel good.

That's about how the BFG ATs handled on the road for me before they wore out. Once they wore out it was like driving with slicks in the rain!

I don't really like black rims on a red truck, so I say the first ones will look sweet.

That's what sucks, they don't come in 15's. Start at 16's

Yeah I've been pricing them out everywhere. So far ebay stores are cheapest by far, but only in 16s :( I think i'm just gonna go to a junk yard and get four donut tires, call it a day.

Call American Eagle. When I looked into getting my 185 series I actually looked at the 187 first and noticed the black rim. At the time the 185 was only in 16s too, thus why I wanted the 187. I called Discount and Big-O to get quotes on the 187B (black) which looks EXACTLY like the 185. The 187s came in 15s on up. Big-O never returned my call and Discount told me about the 187b and the 185 being same. So I called American Eagle and asked what's the difference, mentioning that the site lists 187b in 15s, but the 185s only in 16s and that I was told 187b=185. Guy apologized for the site error. Next day the 185s had listings for 15s on up. So I'd double check with the manufacturer.
