tire question: i was at the dealer today.....

and when they inspected my tires, they put on my invoice that they are at 11/32 but they checked the green dot. i looked at theem when i left and they seem to still have a good amount of tread. but the number they put (11/32) means that there is less then half tread left. correct?

someone please gimme some feedback here.

No Clark. That means there is 11/32" of tread left. Not sure but think anything over about 5-6/32" is considered safe.

you've got 11/32" tread remaining. Tires do not start out with 1" (32/32") of tread(inless they are like 44's. lol)....Generally, stock street tires that come on these trucks come new with approx 15-17/32". Mud tires generally have 17-30/32" of tread.

On the ford quality care sheets, the tires are marked yellow at 4/32 or less and marked red at 2/32 (1/16) or less
