PIC/INFO request! 285/75 r16, 265/75 r16
Hey guys, I'm thinking about putting 285/75 r16s or if those don't work out then 265/75 r16s on my 2002 ranger regular cab 4x4.
looking to see some pics and hear your experience on both. Plans are for a 1 to 1.5" torsion twist, and 1" body lift. Will the 285s rub with 8" rims and 4-4.5" BS ?
Please, if you have pics of either with a stock truck or minor mods, post and tell me about your experience.
Thanks!

But good to know a 4.65 backspacing works well with that size tire!

Actually that's not correct. Backspacing is relative to the mating surface of the hub flange, and the back flange of the wheel. What changes when you have say 4.5" backspacing on a 7" wheel vs an 8" wheel is the offset. your center line of the rim relative to the hub flange will be farther out, but the backspacing remains the same.
