15 x 8 Rims

So this is probably a dumb question but i just wanna make sure before i go and purchase something. I have a 02 xlt ranger and I was wondering if you can drop down a rim size from 16" to 15" without having to worry about anything. There is nothing that comes to mind other than like drum brake clearance issues but just wanted to make sure its doable. Thanks

These are what im lookin at. Im gonna sand blast them and pant them black!

there was a year where they went from 10" brakes to 12". i forget what year but you might want to look into what size your rotors are.

i think it was after 04 when they went with the larger brakes. 15's will work on your 02.

Here's the disc brake years.

98-00 1/2 10 inch for 2WD
00 1/2+ 11 inch for 2WD

98-03 1/2 11 inch for 4x4
03 1/2+ 12 inch for 4x4

For drums

93+ Regular cab 3.0 2.3/2.5 are 9in
93+ Super cabs 3.0 4.0 2.3/2.5 are 10in
93+ Regular cab 4.0 are 10in

Most aftermarket 15s will fit on the 03 1/2+ 12 inch rotors. Just not OE Ford 15s. My Eagle Alloy 15s fit 12 inch rotors just fine. Cragers do as well. Mickey Thompsons do also. So I would imagine American Racing do as well.
