I would say they would probably fit but probably not mount up since i dont know how the pre 98 flares mount. why cant you just get 98-i think 2004 flares?

umm not sure. i have aftermarket EGR OEM fender flares. they don't require you to drill holes in your fenders and bed sides to mount. just click them on.

I would go with the Wrangler Duratracs or BFG A/T's. They are both expensive but def worth it. Guys on here have nothing but positive comments on those tires.

But no 97 flares will not fit a 99 truck. At least that's what the research has said on bushwacker.com. And I don't know if you could possibly rig them to work. Hopefully someone will chime in here soon with a bit more info on the fender flare question.

Thanks for the answers everyone and i like the style of the 98-00 flares but can't stand the mud flaps so i took them off and i thought it looked way better but i really didn't like the huge gap where i took the the mud flaps off. I noticed that the 97s didn't have the mud flaps but didn't know if they would fit my truck and i found some tires i like alot in a magizine i have but they're pretty expensive lol

i have 03 flares on my truck because of the same thing. i hated the gray mud flaps you can get flares off of a 2001-2005 and they are just the normal ones you are looking for and they use the same mounting holes.

i seen that you had newer fender flares on yours and they look good but do they stick out anymore than 99 flares. Since ill be putting 15x8s on it i want them to stick out a little to make it look like a beast lol

from what i've heard they're great tires. Only aftermarket flares are bushwacker and they'll stick out further than 01-05 stock flares and about the same price.

Get on CL and search Ford Ranger Fender Flares. If you are lucky you will find some stock 06+ FX4 ones lol. Stock ones will work and so will Bushwacker and EGR. Bushwacker makes a few different styles. They made OEM, Extend-A-Fender, and Bolt-Style. If you find Extend-A-Fender ones I would not recommend them because they are like 3-4 inches wide. They only look good on like SAS Rangers.

Like I said I got mine for $150. It was a steal. Sometimes they come up on the classifieds here. Actually there is a set of rear Bushwacker Extend-A-Fender ones on there right now but you don't want that size and he wants $190 for the just the rear ones.
