tires look like crap..

My rear tires look like cheap ass made tires, they slip on semi-wet roads like if somebody has the sprinklers on. They are firestones that I think came with the truck when it was new, my truck now has 33300 miles on it. I checked the tire pressure and they are at 30 which it says in the door sill. Last night I did some doughnuts in a parking lot, no white smoke, just that smell. I wake up and look at them, they look worse than before but still have the same tread left, I really want new tires but my dad wont let me untill they fail the penny head test, which they pass barely :headache: so how bad did I mess up these tires and how long do you think they have left?

dont do doughnuts, just do burnout....

hold it there....the smoke will come.....

yeah just do that or run over some nails... then you will have to get new tires :scool:

Yeah, I don't think any of my tires don't have plugs or patches in them now.

ripcurrent88 06-18-2005 08:02 AM

how do I burnout in a 4 banger automatic truck?

TippnOver 06-18-2005 08:22 AM

put in drive

hold down brake

push down on gas, steadily getting harder

u'll move a little but...do it in an open space to be safe...but i'll start turning them over...

you could always be stupid and tie your truck to a tree or strong post (something secure in the ground) and slowly get on the throttle.

of course, i dont think that would be worth getting new tires.

Also, if your 4 banger feels like it dosent have enough power for a burnout......Spray a little bit of tire shine or bleach on the pavement below, or you rear tire(s) directly to get them spinning......then burn em' for a few minutes.....and tell us the results..... :-)

go to a parking lot or something like that and park up to a concrete stop thingy. You will still have to brake so you don't go over it completly but it will help out alot.

i doubt mine will burn out i tried using the parking brake and it still dosent do it unless its on wet pavement :)

That would probably be because the parking brake works only on the REAR brakes. You need to use the pedal, not the parking brake, to do a burnout, and you're still going to be adding excessive wear to your rear brakes while doing it.

Just go buy some line locks!!!

Well besides burnin out, I went offroadin after each one of the hurricanes last year. You should of seen all the holes in my tires from tree limbs and other broken stuff. But my dad took em and got em patched when they went flat. GRRRRR. But now I got my swampies. I'm lovin em.
