Trading in wheels

I think I have heard someone here talking about trading in there wheels and tires for a new set at Discount tire. I'm trying to figure out how that works, or if they actually do it. Thanks for any help.

I know they will take tires, but you won't get what you want probably.

When I got my truck, I wanted some mt/rs because they had a discount on goodyears, so I asked them how much for my tires. Brand new Goodyear RT/S (245/75/16) with less than 300 miles on them and they said they would give me $25 a tire.

So I said never mind
