IMHO, 4.30s at a minimum for 33” tires, 4.56 if you want a little more of a power feeling.
Yo can do a tire calculation to determine the actual ratio change, new tire OD / old tire OD - ratio of change.
Multiply the ratio of change times the old gear ratio and it will tell you the new gear ratio to get the same feeling as the OEM gear/tire combo.
If you want more of a power feeling go a little deeper i.e. 4.10 to 4.30.
For instants:
Old tire OD = 31
New Tire OD = 33
Which equals a Ratio of Change = 1.07
Multi the old gear ratio by: 1.07 x 4.10 = 4.38
You would have two choices, 1) being 4.30 or 2) 4.56.

Good on-road/ off-road tires are going to be all-terrains i would either get goodyear duratracs (im getting ready to get a set ) or BFG A/T's both have a very good rep. for gearing i have a 4.0 and im about to some 33s on it with 4.10 gears (came stock with mine) and they will pull decent but for a 3.0 i would suggest 4.30 at the least. Tires your looking at $190-$220 I dont know how much the gears would be though.
