tire sizes

i have on my truck right now 31x10.5x15 on 15x8 eagle alloy's but i want to upgrade to 33x12.5x15..will the 12.5" tire fit on a 15x8 wheel?? and also should i change the gears to run the 33's. i have a 93 4.0L 4x4

yes 33x12.50x15's will fit fine on a 15x8 wheel....i ran that setup for almost 2 years....

if you have 3.73 gears (look at the sticky I made about stock gearing to find your stock gears), then 33's wont be bad.....if you have any higher (numerically lower) gear, then you should upgrade to 4.10's...

now if i do decide to put my body lift on due to price restraints the 33x12.5 should fit up under my 93

yea they will fit......I personally don't like the look of them on only a body lifted Ranger, but it isn't my truck (i like a little more tire to fender clearance)

do you think the 31x10.5 would look better or should i go to a 32x11.5

Go with the 33x12.5! Haha... yes I'm partial to that look mainly because I've had it for almost 2 years now. Haha...

you can't compare a '93 to a '03 because the '03 can crank the torsion bars to get roughly 2-3 more inches of lift in the front were as a '93 you can't.....
