Wheel problem!!!

OK, so ive got 15x8 Unique steel wheels bolted up with the factor lug nuts so i could use the center cap of my stock wheels.

i was driving down a dirt road today and i notices a slight rattle/clunking. i though it was from the front end. i thought it was the front suspension but after thorough inspection i couldnt find anything wrong in the front.

heres the problem, when i lift the rear wheels up and pull outward, there is a little play! the wheel is secure against the brake drums, so its almost like the brake drums or axle is loose, its very strange. i took them in to americas tire to have me re-torqued and inspected, but they coulnt find anything loose. the guys were all clueless as to what it could be.

has anyone had this problem before? its driving me crazy!

The rear wheels will have some in and out play in them because the axle shaft will bottom out when you push it in then the c clip will hit internally when you pull it out.

Im afraid to bring a lifted truck in for warranty work! if something major goes wrong, ill take the lift off, but other than that, i want to try and figure out the small stuff on my own

Did you remove the clips that hold the drums and rotors on when the truck is going down the ***. line? If you did not that will cause you after market wheels not to bolt up properly.

^^good call. There's two or three of these metal "clip" things that are slid onto the wheel studs that keep the drum fastened to the axle flange while on the assembly line. Take a set of neetle nose pliers and pull them off if they aren't off already.
