Wheel Spacers?

The rangers on Instagram with wheel spacers look awesome! But they make me wonder, do they affect the alignment or damage axles? What are the down sides of them?

They're ugly, add stress, and are a failure point.

You're adding stress to all of the load bearing points in the system that doesn't need to be added. Adding bigger tires on top of wheel spacers is asking for trouble, especially as the spacers get larger. I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks I don't think I will be investing in that

Just get some wheels with less backspacing if you want them to stick out further.
