Wheel width question - Sorry.

I've searched the crap outta this section but can't find my answers. Maybe my search keywords were wrong? Anyway...

What do the experienced guys say about running a 31"x10.50 on a 10" wide wheel?

I was looking at buying some 10" wide wheels from a fellow forum member and I already have a new set of 31" x 10.50 tires. I'd like to use them if possible..

What say you guys?? Do I HAVE TO buy new tires to run these wheels? Say 32" x 11.50 tires? They're the same offset as my 15" DC-1 wheels that are 8" wide..

Anyone have any pictures of any trucks with 10" wide wheels and 31" x 10.50 tires on them?? Bead popping off problems??

you should not run a tire on a rim unless the rim is atleast 2" narrower than the tire

so 12.5" tire on a 10" rim
a 10.5" tire on an 8" rim

i have run 30x9.50s on 8" rims without a problem though but a 31 on a 10" rim is way too much

I'm looking for some 15x8's right now so I can still run my 31" x 10.50 tires.. I'm looking for something in aluminum with no clear coat. I'm not having this clear coat problem again..

F*ck these DC-1's!!

I'll have them up for sale soon, cheap.

I have no problem polishing wheels through the winter. What p*sses me off is that the clear coat on a almost brand new set of wheels has went to absolute sh*t in no time flat. I'd rather have to polish bare aluminum all winter than be stuck with a crappy looking clear coat job..

In all fairness, it's my fault. I knew to change back to my stockers for the winter but the tires on my stock wheels are almost bald so I had to run the new wheels and tires. I knew I should've just bought a set of tires for the stockers... Live and learn.. Expensively.

I'm liking a set of 8" wide polished auminum wheels I've found but the backspacing is 3.25 which is a bit too much. I'm thinking about excessive bearing wear.. I'll probably still buy them though..
