Wheel rim rubs

Wheel rim rubs
Hello All,
Newbie here. I bought a 2003 Ranger 3.0 Standard. Decent shape. The seller told me the tires were under size because he got a good deal. They are 215/70R15.
The tires are in good shape but the wheels make a wicked grinding noise when I turn to the right. So I'm looking for advice on maybe a narrower rim. I don't know the first thing about rims except I once bent one on a huge pothole.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Richard

Welcome to the forum
That doesn't sound like a wheel issue, "grinding" is a metal on metal sound
"Rubbing" noise would be a tire that's too big or hitting the frame or fender
Best bet would be to turn wheels to the right all the way and then jack up each side and spin the wheel to see if you can find the source of the noise
Is it a 2WD or 4x4 Ranger?

wheels rims rubbing
Okay, that's a good suggestion. I had a auto service center look at it and they said it was the wheels rubbbing. But I should jack it up and see for myself.
Related issue -- this truck has 215/70R15 tires, I can't find anywhere what the original "from the factory" tire & wheel size would have been.
Is there one standard, or are different tire sizes an option like other options?
Thanks, Richard

Look on the back edge of driver's door, there will be a label there with Ford info for this specific truck
Looks like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/Mag..._labelled1.JPG
Has the front and rear tire sizes and wheel sizes, from factory
Also lots of other info
Take a picture of yours and then have a look here for the other stuff: https://www.blueovaltech.com/tech/decode.php
