Wow, so.. does ANYWHERE in Oregon/Washington stock BFG's?
I've been calling around prices for some 33x12.5x15's BFG MT's and A/T KO's.. and everywhere has to special order them.. I was hoping to find them a bit cheaper per tire so I wouldnt have to pay shipping from an online store.. but WTF, over 200 bucks a tire at 33x12.5?!? I've called 5 places, from Les Schwab to Nels Tires, and a buncha other places out here.. no one has em in stock, and itll run me over 800 to get into them from a third party style company..
I think Tire Rack really is the best option, wont run much past 700, and thats INCLUDING shipping.. christ, whats happening to tire vendors out here?!?
Unless some of you from around here know anywhere that may actually have them in stock, and not have to special order.. that would be great Other then that, I think I will end up going with Tire Rack for sure

I was jsut reading a review on BFG MT's and came across this..
haha.. 60,000 miles and he hasnt even had them a full year yet.. hah, yeah.. Ive got a buddy who put 55,000 in a single year in his county vehicle.. but thats because he inspects the gas lines and is on the road 12 hours a day 5 days a week.

ive got about 60,000 miles on these mud tires they are great in the mud, rocks and going through 2' deep water and also great on dry roads . I have about 50 to 55 tread life remaining one thing tho rotate the tires every 3300 miles on a old subaru with D44 Front and ford 9" rear with 4.88 gears I get about 18 in the city and 24 hwy . I will be buying another set of these in about 4 months . Ive had these tires about a year.

$164 per tire, plus 85 shipping.. and a free $129 1 year warranty.. probably wont use it.. but heck, its a warranty Only sucky part is, since I live in washington and my zipcode is washington, I still get taxed washington taxes after odering online.. even if its from Portland.. oh well, honestly, I jsut wanted to get it done and not look back, heh

Hey bud, actually ended up cancelling that order, and going to look for a place to pick them up.. was looking at some other thigns here and there, and figured I woudl rather not pay shipping.. and the discount tire has a place right out in gresham you can get them picked up at.. so I'll probably do that instead Save my 85 bucks on shipping, plus those taxes.. which in turn, is a good chunk of money back in the pocket :-)

^^HAHA...Discount tire in gresham? Are you talking about America's Tire on Eastman Parkway?? I frequent them now that I don't have a les schwab hook up anymore. In fact, I got my current steelies from them. and my last set of steelies.
So Mike....you get that bodylift yet?!? U comin' over Sunday? lol.

Oh, for anyone curious in the area.. and listening in... I saved a quick $130 bucks on all of this by doing the following.. emailed up the portland branch of 4wheelparts, and placed an inquiry for in-store pickup.. put half the downpayment on a set of tires, and some minor freight to get 2 of them up here from California, managed to secure it all for much cheaper then normal, and by next Monday taking a quick trip down to the store to pick them up =) Sure as hell beats getting them online, taxes, shipping, and whatever else it made it so expensive for.. plus, the tire price were cheaper per tire then what les schwab or discount tire could offer me.
