Who's Runnin' 35's?
If you have 35's on your Ranger, how are they working for you? How long have you been running them? Any problems with CV joints, inner tie rods, ball joints, etc?
I want to install the RCD kit on my 2003 XLT 4x4, but really want to go bigger than the suggested 33's. All insight and experience is needed. Thanks! |
get a Body lift with your RCD if you want to run 35's....

I say if you go RCD and body lift get some 36's or 37's if they fit.

I have 35s and my truck is going great. No problems, still relatively fast. I heard you can run 35s just fine with only the RCD lift.

2004 Ranger FX4 (4x4 with offroad package).
FX4 doesn't add any lift height, just means I have limited slip and skid plates throughout. I have a 3 inch body lift, front bumper removed(because I was sent the wrong brackets by performance accessories, but i offroad MUCH better without front bumper). Also, I cranked my T-bars(a mod that makes your ride stiffer but raises your front an inch or two). My tires do occasionally rub when I'm making turns, whether offroading or with a fat person in the right seat. BUT, it doesn't do it often at all. Oh, I put the 35s on in september 06. During a tornado haha. |
^^LoL...."a fat person in the right seat"...

I've got 35s on my 02 FX4, with a 3" body and 4" susp. I have no rubbing at all, and the only casualty so far has been my front diff housing, which cracked due to a rock getting slammed into it.
