Why are KM2's so cheap?

Not that im complaining as it looks like these will be my new tires....However In the past all BFG tires were in the top spots when it come to cost. Just curious. On summit's site there the 2nd cheapest 35" tire. Ive heard nothing but good things about them and for $730 for a set of 4 ill take em:biggrin:

Summit is selling 35"s cheaper than 33"s... i dont get it

WowMike2001 09-03-2009 06:16 AM

Supply and Demand - the more that are sold, the cheaper they are to produce.. and to sell - Hence KM2's are pretty darn popular..!

freddie 09-03-2009 06:18 AM

Yeah, I want to see them selling 35's in a 17" for that price.. lol

silverbullet32 09-03-2009 07:40 AM

poor quality? BFG is known for making some of the best tires on the road, they sell millions of them. im sure if they were poor quality that they wouldnt be near as popular as they are.

kyle12201 09-03-2009 08:00 AM

Fx4wannabe01 09-03-2009 11:15 AM

Well........BFG's have always been one of the best and one of the most affordable mud tires out there for years now.... That's why everyone and their brothers and their uncles have ran them. lol.

But holy balls....I've been getting about $900 shipped quotes. I might be getting my new tires sooner than I had planned.

wyldechild 09-03-2009 12:34 PM

Thats a damn good price for KM2's.

A friend of mine just bought a set of 35x12.50R15's Cooper STT's from Discount Tire....mounted, balanced, warranty, for 900 bucks. I thought that was a killer deal.

99ranger4x4 09-03-2009 12:38 PM

I got my original MTZs for like $2 more than KM1s..

now they've gone up like $70 a tire :(

if i get bead locks I'll get KM2s, until then I'm gonna stay away from them.

rangerboy101 09-03-2009 03:15 PM

I wish they made a 285/75 in a D rating instead of an E rating.

Toms994x4 09-03-2009 07:18 PM

That's ridiculous. I just priced them out as 32x11.50x15's and it would be $767.75 to my door step.
