will these tires fit on these rims

will 38x12.5x15 fit on 15x8 rims?

04blackedge 12-16-2007 12:31 AM

Yes they will fit but a 15x10 would be better IMO

Matt3203 12-16-2007 12:32 AM

alright ill tell my friend now thanks buddy

I had that same size on my truck on 15x8s the only thing is you need to run a little bit lower air pressure or the tires will wear out in the middles quicker

good rule of thumb......4" difference between tire width and wheel width. 12.5 on 8" is fine. I know it's 4.5....but blah.

Matt3203 12-16-2007 08:07 PM

haha alright sounds good to me

yea, if you run aired down the 8" wide may actually be better as it will be harder to pop it off the bead than it would with the 10" wide rim. now running it on a set of 10" beadlocks on the otherhand...

For off roading, yes.

For a DD and tire wear no.

A 9"-10" is best for good tire wear with a width 12.50.

i concur

most of time you wont get good tire wear with a narrow wheel, but i have seen it happen a few times.
