any body have any experience with them..how good does the paint hold up ect. thanks

my buddy has them on this lifted chevy on 35s and he loves them

 

iv herd that the paint scratches easy and that they fade after a couple of months...trigger what size/backspace do u have..i was looking at 15x8 with 3.25 backspace

 

Mine are 15x10's with close to stock back spacing... I really can't remember. I haven't noticed any fading.

 

I wouldn't go less than 3.75 unless you like changing your front end components

 

well i just did ball joints and wheel bearings all with a lifetime warranty so i should be fine...its only 1/2 and inch

 

Stock BS is 4.5" sooo. It's actually 1.25". Do what you want, it's your truck but there is no need to run that kind of bs

 

u have to to get ur tires outside ur fenders

 

dude they're easy to repaint :) I only know this because when my polished aluminum wheels went to hell i painted them the same way. I can only find one pic of mine. I used painters tape to mark off hte lip and then just used flat black paint on the inside. I didnt clear coat them and they look good a year later.

 

that looks good but it kinda sux it new wheels get scratched really easy....at least with the all aluminum ones it just makes a scuff mark...

 

look at my profile pics.... i love mine. ive had em covered in mud sand and many high powered cleaners and still lookin good. they look faded sometimes but thats because they are flat black in color not a glossy glossy finish they clean up super easy id 100% say get them tho. they dont scratch easy at all and 15x10s will get the tires out about an inch and a half almost out of the flares but be advised rocks kill my paint lol

 

Maybe you like the sucked in look... good for you. But for many of us others, thats far too ugly to our eyes...



70k on oversize tires and low backspace wheels. BJ's needed changing at 75k anyway....did 'em. I'm still on the stock bearings at 110k. Soooo pretty much...not that much added wear. I've not seen much if any added wear running 35's for the last 40k....

15x8 w/ 3.625 and 32x11.50s
15x10 w/ 4 and 35x12.50s....both on steel wheels.

OP...take it from someone who has actually ran these type of oversize tires and rims with fat offsets...

 

yea i think im gonna get the 15x8's with 3.25 offset so i can run 31's for a wile...i dont have any where near enough money to body lift and 33's yet cause i have to regear. so that means i couldnt use the 15x10's for a wile so im gonna get the 15x8's and run them with 31's and when i get the money to bl and 33's ill run 33's on them and if i dont like it ill either buy spacers or 15x10...but this is probably a year or more down the road.

 

mine have faded a little, but nothing a good cleaning wouldn't fix.

As for scratching easily...what scratching? I've had these rims for roughly 30K and the only scratching I have is around the lug nuts from impact sockets rubbing. I've had the truck off road and might have 1 or 2 scratches that I've noticed. Stick to the 15x8 and 33x10.50s. I have to use 4th on hills and to accelerate in needed situations with my 33x10.50s, that with a 4.0. You've got the 3.no. I would not recommend the 12.5 wide tire, it's additional $$$ and tire weight. There's no cost benefit over it vs the 10.5 other than just mere aesthetics.

When you're lifted and stock BS may cause rub there is. My tires MAYBE stick out an inch. Enough to have eaten up the paint on my bed just after the cab...BFG AT and MT rocking flinging FTL.
