Painting Tires?

Hey guys,

I was watchin Dirty Jobs today and saw a guy repainting old truck tires after he had re-treaded them. Is it possible for an average person to repaint tires? where would you get the paint? Yes I am talking about tires and NOT WHEELS BTW.

Thanks

Do you mean painting the lettering, or painting them black?

I don't believe that its possible to do that on standard radial tires. They were doing that on Semi truck tires. Why do you want to repaint them anyway, you can clean them you know? lol.

I don't see why not, but I think a scrub brush with a good cleaner and tire shine would come out better.
