i plan on getting a 3 inch body lift on my 03 ranger fx4. will i need to get differant shocks? if so can i go to auto zone and get what i need or do i need a custom shock? thanks guys

 

You wont need to get new shocks. Your suspension does not move at all. Its only the body of your truck. When you do decide to get new shocks you should try lookin at Bilsteins.

while you dont need them its not a bad idea to replace the stock ones if you plan on doing any wheeling

 

Ditto Billy's comment. You don't need the for length change -- because there is none.

But you are raising the center of gravity and firmer shocks would benefit you with less body roll and better control. You might consider an upgrade to improve both offroading and on-street handling over the stockers -- which aren't the best anyway.
