Does your 4 banger do this?
I'm wondering if everyone's 4 cylinder autos are doing what mine does. When I let off the gas it doesn't pop into neutral like most other vehicles, i feel like its putting a lot of drag on my truck and I want it to stop, I think it should roll and coast better than it does. Any ideas?
I've got an 07 2wd 4 cylinder with the auto trans.

I hate that i had my trans rebuilt because my torque converter went out. But the guy told me that it is the shutting off of the injectors and its just a ranger thing but i hate having to gas it down hills, especially with gas prices the way they are now. Let me know if anyone finds out different.

I've always been under the impression that it is bad to coast an automatic transmission in neutral?
