Engine wont start when warm
I have a 2000 ranger 3.0 auto i pulled the engine to change the oil pan put it back in np. The starter connections were green so i cleaned everything, little bolt broke off so i replaced solenoid everything good. Changed all fluids including trans filter and rear end grease. Ok when the engine warms it wont start, wont turn over, no click, nothing. Everything works but the starter, took starter off hooked it to 12V turns over fine put it back on it started until it warmed up then nothing. The starter is orig. to the truck never been touched but up until i pulled the motor it was fine wonder if the brushes are bad and the heat shorts it out? Let it sit 1 hr and it will start. Any ideas? Thanks
