Nah, I did search the net for other intake manifolds, and cylinder heads but couldn't find anything and this was my last resort. Plus now that I have calmed down and relaxed a bit, I'd thought I check this out and see what I can find. My current TB tends to stick open from time to time but I think I got it fixed for the moment. I just needed to clean it a bit. Thanks guys I appreciate it. RPS and I are not and will never be on good speaking terms. I usually come here and search or the Ranger station. My apologies to anyone I offended.

The spring is fine no problem there, the cable doesn't have any rust, debris but an *** load of tree sap which I cleaned and that didn't fix it either. so I pulled the TB off and found a huge amount of tree sap on the butterfly and inside of the inlet. I cleaned it with throttle Body cleaner and that helped. Thanks for the tip about the TB's off the 01+ 3.0's. I had forgotton about the Ford Edge. I have alot of Pine and mimossa trees in my yard and both produce enough tree sap to clog the titantic and that's being kind. Mom has the same problem too.

Check out post #7 in this thread, Rich uses a K&N, and he said he has to clean his throttle body several times in 35K miles!!

Oh hi Mike, yeah I already did that. I took a swab and sprayed it with WD 40 and swabbed it in there and before reinstalling it I wiped off any excess after lefting it stand for a couple of hours. I don't how many times I've done this with both vehicles. The Neon take longer due to accessing the TB. It's well hidden. Oh sorry about the spelling I just noticed it.

Using a K&N will pass dirt and oil, and will contaminate your MAF sensor, and gum up your IAC valve, and throttle body! If you used a OEM paper filter, it would catch that tree sap!!

I agree, the very first mod I made was a K&N filter. I clean it about every 15,000 miles and I have never had any problems with it. The trick is to let the oil dry for a few hours before you put it in. That way it doesn't go all up in the intake and stuff when you start it up. But like I said, its been on there for over 50,000 miles and I have never had any side effects of having it there.

Yes I realized I misspelled it. L.O.L. Thanks man I appreciate it. I've got to go for a little bit and see about some parts and see about signing up at a local trade school for some classes in autobody. The local school here has a program for adults wanting to learn new skills and it would be nice to be able to paint and do body work on my own vehicles. I appreciate everyones help and input. Thanks.
